Monmiral's unexpected win not only stunned punters but also earned Ferguson a handsome £50,000 in prize money. Co-owned by Ferguson, Ged Mason, and John and Lisa Hales, Monmiral defied the odds and clinched victory over the favoured Kyntara in a thrilling race.

    Standing alongside former England boss Sam Allardyce, Ferguson expressed his elation, praising jockey Harry Cobden for his stellar performance.

    Ferguson remarked, "Well, that was fantastic, what a jockey." When questioned about whether the victory compared to winning the Champions League, Ferguson replied: "Oh no, that's different, that's different."
